| OBJECTIVE |
This paper manufacturer has a continuous demand for steam operating the main boiler
at 75% load on a continuous basis. Although the boiler was equipped with a tubular
air heater, the client desired further fuel savings. A Combustion & Energy
Systems sensible heat recovery unit was installed recapturing waste heat from
flue gas and reducing plant fuel usage.
| SOLUTION |
Paperboard Industries ordered turnkey supply/installation heat recovery system
from Combustion & Energy Systems. The installation was performed in a new second
duct allowing the customer to operate during the construction phase. The new system
is located indoors in a bypass arrangement so it will never have cause to take
the boiler down.
| BENEFITS |
Reduction
in boiler fuel consumption |
Increased efficiency reduced overall plant emissions |
Project paid back on equipment and installation within 8 months
| BACKGROUND |
